The problem is that proposers do not have adequate incentives to flag assessments that do not adhere to the guidelines if they are favourable to the Proposal.

Some possible solutions to analyse include

1. Proposal assessors must actively “approve”/”flag” every assessment.

2. Introduce some form of punishment for proposers with more than X% assessments filtered out but who did not flag those for being sub-par.

• Bounty hunter has created a long-form document that analyses this problem and its potential solutions along with one or several concrete propositions on what in the guidelines should be change

  • There should be a problem section that elaborates what the problem is using an abstract user journey as well as examples

  • At least two potential solutions are described

  • Relative strengths of potential solutions should be compared

  • Weaknesses of potential solutions should be stated

  • Implementation challenges should be noted

  • There should be a section with unanswered questions and untested assumption

  • There should be a concluding section with a concrete recommendation on how to move forward. For example, one or several Propositions to change the guidelines.

#When does this task need to be done? (optional)

This needs to be done three weeks before the launch day of Fund 10, to allow for (a) community feedback and input, (b) governance, i.e. voting on whether to implement this, (c) translation of the proposer guide into other languages.
